Ocean science education is central to the mission of the ISC. To inspire the next generation of ocean explorers, the ISC provides behind-the-scenes tours, camps, and conducts educational programs for students, educators, and the public. ISC scientists and staff lead all programs. The ISC also facilitates live communications between vessels at sea and classrooms and informal education institutions around the globe.
Please sign up for the ISC newsletter to receive details on all educational programs, camp dates, and other information once available.

The ISC offers an Ocean Science Exploration Camp for youth ages 11-15. During this week-long day camp, ocean explorers engage in hands-on activities and investigations, tune into live oceanographic expeditions, meet scientists, and learn about different ocean careers. The 2018 camp will focus on Biological Oceanography.
The Inner Space Center Team engages worldwide with a number of science, technology, and education partner organizations to provide scientific and educational support. Each project page features a description and links to the project’s website.
Discover where the latest deep-sea explorations are taking place, see ancient shipwreck artifacts from previous expeditions, and listen to scientists as they make their next discoveries!
